Olara from Auremont is a flush mount LED fitting reduced to a plain lit form against the ceiling. There is no frame, no pattern and no visible fixing, which is the point: a ceiling light in a modern room is often best when nothing about it asks to be looked at.
Two sizes are offered. At 45 by 18 cm it suits a bedroom, a study or a hallway; at 55 by 20 cm it covers a living room or a larger bedroom where the smaller version would leave the corners dim. Both sit close enough to the ceiling to clear headroom in an ordinary room.
Because the fitting is flush rather than hanging, it works where a pendant would be in the way: under a sloped ceiling, in a corridor, or in a room with a low header. LED keeps the running cost low for a light that stays on all evening. Installation should be by a qualified electrician.
