The Auremont Bamboo Woven Pendant Lamp is handwoven from natural bamboo, so the shade is a lattice rather than a solid surface. Light escapes between the strands as well as through the opening, which throws a pattern of fine shadow across the ceiling and walls around the fitting.
Handwoven means each shade differs slightly in the tightness of the weave and the tone of the bamboo, so no two throw exactly the same pattern. That variation is the character of natural material worked by hand rather than a fault, and it is the reason a woven shade looks different from a printed one.
Two designs are offered as A and B, differing in shape and proportion. Bamboo suits coastal, boho, Japanese and plain modern schemes equally, and warms a room without adding a colour. Keep it dry and dust the weave with a soft brush. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
